Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on stable surface.

  1. Charge handset batteries: Connect AC adapter to base, plug into outlet. Place handset on base to charge for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug telephone line cord into base unit LINE jack and wall telephone jack.
  3. Install battery in handset: Insert battery pack, connect connector, close cover.
  4. Register handsets to base: Place handset on base; registration is automatic (up to 5 handsets).

First-Time Setup

Power on base and handsets; follow prompts.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, select SETTINGS > DATE/TIME.

  3. Program phonebook: Store up to 100 entries per handset via MENU > PHONEBOOK.

Using the Answering Machine

  2. Set rings to answer: Select 2, 4, 6, or TOL (toll saver).
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset (MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > PLAY MESSAGES).
  4. Remote access: Dial your number from outside, enter remote access code (default 0000) after outgoing message.
  5. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback or MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > DELETE ALL.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while answering system is recording or playing.
