Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge handset batteries: Connect AC adapter to base, plug into outlet. Place handsets on base or charger to charge for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of phone cord into TEL LINE jack on base, other end into wall telephone jack.
  3. Power on: Ensure base unit power is connected; POWER indicator should light.
  4. Install handset batteries: Insert Ni-MH batteries into each handset, attach battery cover.

WARNING! Use only supplied Panasonic adapters and batteries. Do not place near microwaves, routers, or other sources of interference.

First-Time Setup

After installation, follow these steps to configure your phone system.

  1. Set time and date: Press MENU on handset, select SETTINGS > DATE & TIME, enter current information.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering system with remote access capability.

  1. Turn on/off: Press ANS ON/OFF on base.
  2. Record outgoing message: Press MEMO/OGM, speak after beep, press MEMO/OGM to stop.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset (press INTERCOM then 1).
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback or press and hold to delete all.
  5. Remote playback: Call your number, after outgoing message, enter remote code (default 111) to play messages.
  6. Set ring count: MENU > ANSWERING > RINGS, select 2, 4, 6, or Toll Saver.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while answering machine is in use to avoid message loss.

Call Block: Add numbers via MENU > CALL BLOCK > ADD. Intercom: Press INTERCOM on one handset, then dial handset number (1,2,3) to call another handset. Speakerphone: Press SPEAKER during a call or before dialing. Phonebook: Store and dial from memory. ECO Mode: Reduces power when handset is near base.

Care & Cleaning
