Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on flat surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge Handset: Insert battery into handset, place on base unit for 7 hours initial charge.
  2. Connect Base: Plug telephone line cord into base unit LINE jack and wall jack.
  3. Power Base: Connect AC adapter to base unit and electrical outlet.
  4. Install Additional Handsets: Register new handsets following manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only supplied Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or short-circuit battery.

First-Time Setup

After installation, follow these steps to configure your phone.

  1. Set Date/Time: Press MENU, select SETTINGS > DATE & TIME, enter current date and time.

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 cable to wall jack. Headset: 2.5mm jack on handset.

  1. Ensure phone is off (handset on base) before connecting.
  2. Plug telephone line cord firmly into base and wall jack.
  3. For headset, insert plug into handset jack during standby mode.

Tip: Use surge protector for telephone line to prevent damage from power surges.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering machine with remote access capability.

  1. Set Greeting: Press MENU > ANSWERING MACHINE > GREETING, record your message.
  2. Play Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset DIRECTORIES > ANSWERING MACHINE.
  3. Remote Retrieval: Dial your number from outside, press # during greeting, enter remote code (default 0000).
  4. Delete Messages: Press DELETE during playback or MENU > ANSWERING MACHINE > DELETE ALL.
  5. Announce Only Mode: Plays greeting without recording messages.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while answering machine is recording or playing messages.
