Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place base unit on stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery into handset, place on base for 7 hours initial charge.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug line cord from wall jack to TEL LINE port on base.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base and wall outlet.
  4. Install belt clip: Attach to handset if desired.

WARNING! Use only supplied Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not expose to water or extreme temperatures.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on and configure basic settings.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, select SETTINGS > DATE/TIME.
  2. Register handset: Handset should auto-register; if not, press and hold PAGE on base until IN USE light flashes.
  3. Set answering machine: Record outgoing message by pressing MEMO/OGM on base.
  4. Adjust volume: Use VOLUME buttons on handset during call or standby.

Settings: Date/Time, Ringer melody (5 options), Ringer volume (4 levels), Key tone on/off, Eco mode on/off, Language selection (English default). Phonebook: Store, edit, delete entries. Answering Machine: Record outgoing message, set number of rings before answer (2/4/Toll Saver).

Connecting Devices

Telephone line: Standard RJ11 connector. Additional handsets: Register compatible Panasonic DECT handsets.

  1. Ensure base unit is powered and idle.
  2. On new handset, press and hold MENU until REG appears.
  3. On base, press and hold PAGE until IN USE light flashes.
  4. Handset will display REGISTERED when successful.

Tip: Maximum 6 handsets can be registered to one base unit.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering machine with remote access capability.

  1. Record outgoing message: Press MEMO/OGM on base, speak after beep, press again to stop.
  2. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset.
  3. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  4. Remote access: Dial your number from outside, after OGM plays, enter remote code (default 0000).
  5. Change settings: Number of rings (2/4/Toll Saver), OGM only mode.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power during recording; messages may be lost.

Advanced Functions

Intercom: Press INTERCOM on handset, select other handset number, press TALK. Phonebook: Store entries via MENU > PHONEBOOK > ADD. Redial: Press REDIAL to call last dialed number. Mute: Press MUTE during call to mute microphone. Key Lock: Press and hold # for 2 seconds to lock/unlock keys.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug from power before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, dampen cloth with water only.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners. Keep away from heat sources.
