Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a stable, central surface.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery into handset, place on base unit charger for 7 hours.
  2. Connect the base: Plug the AC adapter into the base and a wall outlet. Connect the telephone line cord from the base to your wall phone jack.
  3. Install additional handsets: For extra handsets, plug their chargers into power and place handsets to charge.
  4. Check for power and connection: The POWER/CHARGE indicator on the base should light up.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery.

First-Time Setup

After installation, perform initial configuration.

  1. Set Date and Time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set Language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default is ENGLISH).
  3. Register Handsets: New handsets usually auto-register. For manual, press and hold the PAGE button on the base until IN USE lights, then press MENU on the handset.

Connecting Devices

Primarily connects to a standard analog telephone wall jack. Can be used with VoIP adapters.

  2. Connect the telephone line cord from the base unit's TEL LINE jack to your wall jack.
  3. If using with a DSL filter, connect the filter to the wall jack first, then the phone to the filter.
  4. Plug the AC adapter into the base and an electrical outlet.

Tip: For best performance, place the base unit away from large metal objects, microwaves, and other electronics.

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Record Outgoing Message (OGM): Press ANS. MACHINE on base, then RECORD. Speak after the beep.
  2. Set Ring Count: MENU > ANSWERING MACHINE > RINGS TO ANSWER (2, 3, 4, 5, TOL).
  3. Play Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or MENU > ANS. MACHINE > PLAY MESSAGES on handset.
  4. Delete Messages: Press DELETE on base during playback, or select DELETE from handset menu.
  5. Remote Access: Call your number, when OGM plays, enter your remote access code (default is 1111#).

WARNING! Do not disconnect power to the base unit as it will erase all recorded messages.

Call Block: Register numbers via MENU > CALL BLOCK. Intercom: Press INT on handset, then the number of the target handset (1-6). Speakerphone: Press SPEAKERPHONE during a call. Phonebook: Store 100 entries. Eco Mode: Reduces power; enable in MENU > ECO MODE.
