Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on stable surface.

  1. Charge handset battery: Connect charger, place handset on charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug line cord into base unit TEL LINE jack and wall jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base unit and electrical outlet.
  4. Install battery in handset: Follow polarity markings (+/-).

First-Time Setup

Power on base and handset; follow prompts.

  3. On base, press and hold PAGE until IN USE light flashes.
  4. Handset will show "Registered" when complete.

Using the Answering System

Digital system records messages on base.

  1. Record outgoing message: Press RECORD on base, speak after beep, press RECORD again.
  2. Set rings: Press ANSWER ON/OFF to choose 2,4,6, or Toll Saver rings.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset (press INTERCOM then 1).
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during or after playback.
  5. Remote playback: Call from outside, enter remote access code (default 1111).

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while recording or playing messages.

Ringer Volume/Tone: Adjust in MENU > Ringer Settings. Hearing Aid Compatible: Rated M3/T3. Large Backlit Keys: Easy dialing in low light. Speed Dial: Program frequently called numbers.
