Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Choose a central location for the base unit.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery, place handset on base for 7 hours initial charge.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug line cord from wall jack to TEL LINE jack on base.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base and electrical outlet.
  4. Install additional handsets: Register each new handset to the base unit.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic power adapter. Do not place near other electronics to avoid interference.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on and configure basic settings.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE/TIME.

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 cable. Headset: 2.5mm jack on handset.

  1. Ensure phone is unplugged from power before connecting line cord.
  2. Plug telephone line cord firmly into wall jack and base unit TEL LINE port.
  3. For headset use, plug compatible 2.5mm headset into handset jack.

Tip: Use a surge protector for telephone line to protect against power surges.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering system with remote access.

  1. Record outgoing message: Press ANS/PLAY on base, follow prompts.
  2. Set number of rings: MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > RINGS SELECT.
  3. Play messages: Press ANS/PLAY on base or handset.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  5. Remote playback: Call your number, enter remote access code (default 0000).
  6. Toll Saver: If new messages, phone rings twice; if none, rings four times.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or the answering machine memory may be erased.

Advanced Features

Intercom: Press INT on handset, select target handset, press TALK. Call Block: Add numbers to block list via MENU > CALL BLOCK. Conference Call: During a call, press FLASH to put on hold, dial second number, press TALK to conference. Headset Mode: Plug in headset for hands-free operation.

Care & Maintenance
