Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge Handset Battery: Connect AC adapter to base, plug into outlet. Place handset on base for 7 hours initial charge.
  2. Connect Telephone Line: Plug telephone line cord from wall jack to TEL LINE jack on base unit.
  3. Install Belt Clip: Attach to handset if desired.
  4. Power On: Handset will beep and display when powered.

First-Time Setup

After installation, configure basic settings.

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 cord to wall jack. Headset: 2.5mm plug to handset jack.

  1. Ensure phone is off (handset on base) before connecting.
  2. Plug headset into jack on side of handset.
  3. For additional handsets (KX-TGDA30), register as per First-Time Setup.

Tip: Use a surge protector for telephone line to protect against power surges.

Using the Answering System

Digital system records incoming messages and allows remote playback.

  1. Record Outgoing Message (OGM): Press and hold RECORD on base, speak after beep, release RECORD.
  2. Play Messages: Press ANS/PLAY on base or handset (MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM).
  3. Delete Messages: Press SKIP/DELETE during playback.
  4. Remote Access: Call your number, after OGM enter remote code (default 0000) followed by #.
  5. Set Answering Mode: On base, switch ANS MODE to ON, ANS ONLY, or OFF.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power during recording/playback to avoid system errors.

Accessibility Features
