Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of telephone cord into base unit LINE jack, other end into wall jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base unit and wall outlet.
  4. Install additional handsets: Place on charger stands and register to base.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or modify the unit.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the base and handset.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set answering machine: Press ANS/PLAY on base to turn on; record outgoing message (OGM).
  3. Register handsets: Follow on-screen prompts or press PAGE on base for 5 seconds, then press handset key within 60 seconds.

Using the Answering Machine

  3. Play messages: Press ANS/PLAY once to play new messages, twice for all messages.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  5. Remote access: Dial your number from outside, press * during OGM, enter remote code (default 0000).
  6. Adjust rings: MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > NUMBER OF RINGS (2, 3, 4, or toll saver).
