Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Flat-head screwdriver
  • Network cable tester
  • Telephone line tester
  • Cable crimping tool

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. System Planning: Determine the location for the main control unit, ensuring proper ventilation and access to power outlets.
  2. Unpack and Inventory: Unpack all components and verify against packing list. Check for any shipping damage.
  3. Mount Control Unit: Mount the KX control unit in a secure location using provided mounting brackets.
  4. Connect Power: Connect the power supply unit to the control unit and plug into a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Telephone Line Connection: Connect PSTN lines to the designated ports on the control unit using RJ11 cables.
  6. Extension Wiring: Connect extension phones to the appropriate ports using CAT5e or CAT6 cables.
  7. System Programming: Access the system programming menu to configure extensions, ring patterns, and system features.
  8. Testing: Test all extensions, incoming/outgoing calls, and system features to ensure proper operation.
