Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface.

  1. Charge Handsets: Insert battery packs into handsets, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect Telephone Line: Plug telephone line cord from wall jack to TEL LINE jack on base.
  3. Connect Power: Plug AC adapter into base unit and wall outlet.
  4. Install Belt Clip: Attach to handset if desired.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and battery packs. Do not expose to moisture.

First-Time Setup

Power on base unit; handsets will automatically register.

  1. Set Date and Time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE/TIME.
  2. Set Language: In SETTINGS menu, select ENGLISH (default).
  3. Program Phonebook: Add entries via MENU > PHONEBOOK > ADD ENTRY.
  4. Set Answering Machine: Press ANS MACHINE on base to set greeting and number of rings.

  3. For additional handsets (sold separately), register via base unit.

Tip: Use a surge protector for telephone line to protect against power surges.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering system with remote access.

  1. Set Greeting: Press ANS MACHINE on base, then REC to record custom greeting.
  2. Play Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or dial in remotely from handset.
  3. Delete Messages: Press DELETE after playback or remotely via handset.
  4. Remote Access: Call your number, enter remote access code (default 0000) after greeting.
  5. Message Counter: Display shows number of new messages.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or telephone line while answering machine is recording.
