Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge Handset Battery: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect Telephone Line: Plug one end of telephone line cord into base unit LINE jack, other end into wall telephone jack.
  3. Connect Power: Plug AC adapter into base unit DC IN 9V jack and into electrical outlet.
  4. Install Additional Handsets: Place on charger cradles; they will automatically register with base.

Using the Answering Machine

The digital answering system records incoming messages.

  1. Set Greeting: Press and hold ANS/PLAY on base until tone, record greeting, press ANS/PLAY to stop.
  2. Play Messages: Press ANS/PLAY briefly to play all new messages.
  3. Delete Messages: Press DELETE during or after playback.
  4. Record Memo: Press MEMO on base, speak, press MEMO to stop.
  5. Remote Retrieval: Call your number, after greeting plays, enter your 2-digit remote access code (default is 5-5).

WARNING! Power failure will erase all messages unless the answering system is in battery backup mode.
