Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a stable, central surface.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the base and your wall jack.
  2. Charge the handset: Insert the battery into the handset, then place it on the base unit charger for 7 hours before first use.
  3. Connect power: Plug the AC adapter into the DC IN 9V jack on the base and into a standard 120V AC outlet.
  4. Install additional handsets (optional): Register each extra handset to the base following the manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only the supplied Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery.

First-Time Setup

After charging, power on the handset; follow prompts.

Using the Answering Machine

  3. Delete Messages: Press DELETE during or after playback.
  4. Remote Access: Dial your number from an outside phone, when OGM plays, enter your 2-digit remote access code (default is 5-5) to hear messages.
  5. Turn On/Off: Press ANS ON/OFF on base to enable/disable answering machine.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while the answering machine is recording or playing, as messages may be lost.
