Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on flat surface.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug telephone line cord into base unit LINE jack and wall jack.
  2. Charge handsets: Insert batteries, place handsets in base unit or charger for 7 hours initial charge.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base unit and electrical outlet.
  4. Set time and date: Use handset menu to set current time.

WARNING! Use only supplied Panasonic adapter. Do not place near microwave ovens or other interference sources.

First-Time Setup

After charging, follow on-screen prompts on handset display.

  1. Set time/date: Press MENU, select SETTINGS, then SET TIME/DATE.
  2. Program phonebook: Press MENU, select PHONEBOOK, then ADD ENTRY.
  3. Set answering machine: Press ANS ON/OFF on base to turn on; record greeting with REC button.
  4. Register handsets: Handsets should auto-register; if not, press and hold PAGE on base for 5 seconds.

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 cable. Headset: 2.5mm jack on handset.

  1. Ensure base unit is unplugged before connecting telephone line.
  2. Plug headset into jack on side of handset for hands-free use.
  3. For additional handsets (optional), register via base unit.

Tip: Use surge protector for telephone line to prevent damage from power surges.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering machine with remote access.

  1. Turn on/off: Press ANS ON/OFF on base.
  2. Record greeting: Press REC, speak after beep, press REC again to stop.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/MSG on base or handset.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  5. Remote access: Dial your number, after greeting enter remote code (default 0000).
  6. Set rings: Menu > ANSWERING > NUMBER OF RINGS (2,3,4,5, Toll Saver).

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while answering machine is recording or playing.

Advanced Features

Intercom: Press INTERCOM on one handset, then dial other handset number (1 or 2). Phonebook: Store 100 entries; dial directly from phonebook. Call Block: Block specific numbers via menu. Digital Security: Enabled by default to prevent eavesdropping.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Wipe with soft, dry cloth. Do not use chemicals. Charge batteries fully every 6 months if not in use.
