Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on flat surface.

  1. Charge handsets: Insert batteries, place in base charger for 7 hours.
  2. Connect phone lines: Plug line cords into LINE 1 and LINE 2 jacks on base.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base and wall outlet.
  4. Set time/date: Use handset menu to set current time and date.

WARNING! Use only supplied Panasonic adapters and batteries. Do not place near microwave ovens or other interference sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on base; initialize handsets.

  1. Register handsets: Place in charger; press and hold PAGE on base until IN USE light flashes.

  1. Turn off power before connecting lines.
  2. Connect LINE 1 and LINE 2 to wall jacks.
  3. For headset, plug into handset jack during calls.
  4. To add handset, register via base unit PAGE button.

Tip: Use surge protector for phone lines to prevent damage.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital recording with remote access.

  1. Turn on: Press ANS ON/OFF on base.
  2. Record greeting: Press MEMO, speak after beep, press MEMO to stop.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset.
  4. Remote access: Dial your number, press * during greeting, enter remote code (default 0000).
  5. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  6. Change settings: Use handset menu for number of rings, recording time.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power during recording; messages may be lost.

Accessibility Features

Ringer Volume: Adjustable in 5 levels. Speakerphone: Hands-free operation. Headset Compatible: Use with 2.5mm headset. Voice Guide: Answering system announces number of messages.
