Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the base, and the other end into your wall telephone jack.
  2. Charge the handset: Place the handset on the base unit to charge for at least 7 hours before first use.
  3. Connect power: Plug the AC power adapter into the DC IN 9V jack on the base and into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
  4. Install the belt clip: Attach to the handset if desired.

WARNING! Use only the supplied Panasonic AC adapter. Do not place near other electronic devices that may cause interference.

First-Time Setup

After charging, power on the handset and base.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on the handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME, and enter the current date and time.
  2. Set language: In the SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE and choose ENGLISH (default).

Using the Answering Machine
