Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery, place handset on base for 7 hours initial charge.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug line cord from wall jack to TEL LINE jack on base.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base and wall outlet.
  4. Add extra handsets: Register additional handsets to the base unit.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not place near water or heat sources.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system; follow prompts.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE/TIME.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default ENGLISH).
  3. Program answering machine: Press ANS/PLAY on base to record greeting.

Tip: Use a surge protector for telephone line and power connections.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering machine with remote access.

  1. Record greeting: Press ANS/PLAY on base, follow voice prompts.
  2. Play messages: Press ANS/PLAY to listen; skip with VOLUME buttons.
  3. Delete messages: Press DELETE during or after playback.
  4. Remote access: Dial your number, after greeting press * and enter remote code (default 0000).
  5. Announce Only Mode: Plays greeting but does not record messages.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power; messages may be lost.
