Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of the line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the base, other end into wall jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug the AC adapter into the DC IN 9V jack on the base and into a 120V AC outlet.
  4. Add extra handsets: Register additional handsets to the base unit following the manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only the supplied Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not expose to water or extreme temperatures.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure basic settings.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default is ENGLISH).

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Record outgoing message: Press MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > RECORD OGM.
  2. Set number of rings: MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > RINGS TO ANSWER.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset.

  5. Remote access: Call your number, enter remote access code (default 0000) after OGM.
