Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on flat surface.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug telephone line cord into base unit LINE jack and wall jack.
  2. Charge handset: Place handset on base unit charger; charge for 7 hours before first use.
  3. Connect power: Plug base unit power adapter into electrical outlet and DC IN 9V jack.
  4. Install batteries: Insert supplied Ni-MH battery into handset (if not pre-installed).

WARNING! Use only supplied power adapters. Do not place near water or heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on base and handset; follow prompts.

  1. Set time and date: Press MENU on handset, select SETTINGS > TIME/DATE.
  2. Register handset to base: Handset should auto-register; if not, press and hold PAGE on base until IN USE light flashes.
  3. Set answering machine: Press ANS ON/OFF on base to turn on; record greeting with MEMO button.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital recording; remote access available.

  1. Turn on/off: Press ANS ON/OFF on base.
  2. Record greeting: Press MEMO, speak after beep, press MEMO again to stop.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base; use VOLUME to adjust.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
