Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on stable surface.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug telephone line cord into base unit LINE jack and wall jack.
  2. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base unit DC IN 9V jack and wall outlet.
  3. Install handset battery: Insert battery into handset, connect terminals, place in base to charge.
  4. Add extra handsets: Register additional handsets following manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only Panasonic adapter model specified. Charge battery for 7 hours before first use.

First-Time Setup

After installation, allow handset to charge fully.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, select SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set answering machine: Press ANS ON/OFF on base to turn on; record greeting with MEMO button.
  3. Program phonebook: MENU > PHONEBOOK > ADD ENTRY to store numbers.
  4. Configure call block: MENU > CALL BLOCK > ADD to block unwanted numbers.

Telephone line: Standard RJ11 cable. Headset: 2.5mm jack on handset.

  2. Connect telephone line cord securely to wall jack and base.
  3. For headset, plug into handset jack when not in use.

Tip: Use surge protector for telephone line to prevent damage from power surges.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering machine with remote access.

  1. Turn on/off: Press ANS ON/OFF on base.
  2. Record greeting: Press MEMO, speak after beep, press MEMO to stop.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base; use VOLUME to adjust.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  5. Remote access: Call from outside, enter remote access code (default 0000) after greeting.
  6. Announce only mode: Set to play greeting without recording messages.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or messages may be lost. Backup battery not included.

Advanced Features

Intercom: Press INTERCOM on handset, select other handset/base number, press TALK. Call Block: Add numbers via menu; blocked calls go directly to answering machine. Speakerphone: Press SPEAKERPHONE during call. Headset Mode: Plug in headset for hands-free operation.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug from power before cleaning. Wipe handset and base with soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.
