Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of phone cord into TEL LINE jack on base, other end into wall jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into DC IN 9V jack on base, then into AC outlet.
  4. Install additional handsets: Place on charger, registration is automatic.

WARNING! Use only the supplied Panasonic adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system; follow prompts.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default is ENGLISH).
  3. Register handsets: Additional handsets register automatically when placed on charger.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital system with remote access.

  1. Record greeting: Press and hold RECORD on base, speak after beep, press RECORD to stop.
  2. Set rings: MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > NUMBER OF RINGS (2, 3, 4, Toll Saver).
  3. Play messages: Press ANS/PLAY on base or handset.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  5. Remote playback: Call your number, enter remote access code (default: 0000).

WARNING! Do not place objects on or block the base unit speaker/microphone.
