Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a stable, central surface.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of phone cord into TEL LINE jack on base, other end into wall jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into DC IN 9V jack on base and into electrical outlet.
  4. Register additional handsets: Follow manual pairing instructions if adding extra handsets.

WARNING! Use only the supplied Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure basic settings.

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Turn on/off: Press ANS/PLAY on base until ON/OFF indicator lights.
  2. Record outgoing message (OGM): Press & hold ANS/PLAY on base, speak after beep, release.
  3. Play messages: Press ANS/PLAY briefly on base or handset.
  4. Remote access: Call your number, after OGM plays, enter remote code (default 0000) to listen.
  5. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback or from menu.
  6. Skip messages: Press SKIP during playback.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while answering machine is recording or playing.
