Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a stable, central surface.

  1. Charge the handset: Connect the AC adapter to the base and plug into power. Place handset on base to charge for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug the telephone line cord from the wall jack into the TEL LINE jack on the base unit.
  3. Install battery: Insert the supplied battery into the handset, aligning the polarity (+/-).
  4. Power on: The handset and base will power on automatically when connected.

WARNING! Use only the supplied Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Incorrect components may cause damage.

First-Time Setup

After installation, follow these steps to configure your phone.

  1. Set time and date: Press MENU on the handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME, and set manually or sync from caller ID.
  2. Register additional handsets: For each new handset, place it on the base, press and hold the PAGE button on the base until the IN USE light flashes, then follow prompts.
  3. Set answering machine: Press MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM to set greeting, number of rings, and message playback settings.
  4. Program phonebook: Press MENU > PHONEBOOK to store names and numbers.

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 jack. Headset: 2.5mm jack on handset.

  1. Ensure phone is unplugged from power before connecting any cables.
  2. Connect the telephone line cord from the wall jack to the TEL LINE port on the base.
  3. For a headset, plug the 2.5mm connector into the jack on the side of the handset.

Tip: Use a surge protector for the AC adapter to protect against power spikes.

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Record greeting: Press MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > RECORD GREETING. Speak after the beep, press STOP.
  2. Set answer mode: Choose ANSWER ON, ANSWER ONLY, or TONE ONLY in the answering system menu.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or MENU > PLAY MESSAGES on handset.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback or MENU > DELETE ALL MESSAGES.
  5. Remote access: Call your number, after greeting, enter your remote access code (default 0000) to play messages.
  6. Call Screening: Listen to the caller leave a message and decide to pick up.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or you may lose all recorded messages.
