Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery, place handset on base for 7 hours initial charge.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of phone cord into TEL LINE jack on base, other end into wall jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into DC IN 9V jack on base and into a 120V AC outlet.
  4. Install additional handsets: Register each new handset to the base unit following manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only the supplied Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not place near water or heat sources.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system; follow prompts.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default is ENGLISH).
  3. Register handsets: For new handsets, press and hold HANDSET LOCATOR on base until IN USE light flashes, then press # on handset.
  4. Set answering machine: Press ANS/PLAY on base to record your greeting and set message playback options.

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Record greeting: Press and hold ANS/PLAY on base, speak after beep, press ANS/PLAY to stop.
  2. Play messages: Press ANS/PLAY on base or handset.
  3. Delete messages: During playback, press DELETE.
  4. Remote playback: Call your number, after greeting, enter remote code (default 0000) to hear messages.
  5. Set number of rings: MENU > ANSWERING MACHINE > NUMBER OF RINGS.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or the line cord while the answering machine is in use to avoid losing messages.

Advanced Features

Call Block: Add numbers via MENU > CALL BLOCK. Intercom: Press INTERCOM on one handset, then dial handset number (1-6). ECO Mode: Automatically reduces transmission power when handset is near base. Handset Locator: Press button on base to make all handsets ring.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power before cleaning. Wipe base and handset with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
