Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on stable surface.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug line cord from wall jack to TEL LINE jack on base.
  2. Charge handset: Insert batteries, place handset on base charger for 7 hours initial charge.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base unit and wall outlet.

First-Time Setup

Using the Answering Machine

  2. Record greeting: Press RECORD on base, speak, press RECORD again.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  5. Remote retrieval: Call from outside, enter remote access code (default 0000).
  6. Adjust rings: Set number of rings before answer in menu (2, 4, 6, TOL).

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while answering machine is recording.
