Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge handset battery: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug line cord from wall jack to TEL LINE jack on base.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base and wall outlet.
  4. Install additional handsets: Register each handset to base following manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only supplied Panasonic adapter. Do not place near microwave ovens or other wireless devices.

First-Time Setup

Power on base and handset; follow prompts.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, select SETTINGS > DATE/TIME.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default ENGLISH).
  3. Register handsets: On base, press HANDSET LOCATOR for 5 seconds, then on handset press #.
  4. Set answering machine: Record outgoing message; set number of rings (2, 4, or TAD only).

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Record outgoing message: Press ANS/ON/OFF on base, then RECORD; speak message; press RECORD again.
  2. Set rings: Choose 2, 4, or TAD ONLY via base switch.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or remotely dial your number, enter remote access code.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback or remotely.
  5. Remote access: Call your number, after announcement enter remote code (default 0000).

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while answering machine is recording or playing.
