Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on flat surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug line cord into base unit TEL LINE jack and wall jack.
  2. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base unit DC IN 9V jack and wall outlet.
  3. Charge handset: Place handset on base charging contacts; charge for 7 hours before first use.
  4. Install belt clip: Attach to handset if desired.

WARNING! Use only supplied Panasonic AC adapter. Do not place near water or heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on base; handset will automatically register.

  1. Set date/time: Press MENU on handset, select SETTINGS > DATE/TIME.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default ENGLISH).
  3. Program speed dial: MENU > PHONEBOOK > SPEED DIAL to assign numbers.
  4. Set answering machine: Press ANS/PLAY on base to record outgoing message.

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 jack. Headset: 2.5mm jack on handset.

  1. Ensure power is off before connecting.
  2. Plug telephone line cord firmly into base and wall jack.
  3. For headset, plug into handset jack during call for hands-free.

Tip: Use surge protector for telephone line to prevent damage.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital recording for incoming messages.

  1. Record outgoing message: Press ANS/PLAY on base, follow prompts.
  2. Play messages: Press ANS/PLAY; use VOLUME to adjust.
  3. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  4. Skip messages: Press SKIP to next message.
  5. Record memo: Press MEMO to leave voice note.
  6. Remote playback: Call from outside, enter remote code (default 1111).

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or messages may be lost.

Advanced Features

Intercom: Press INTERCOM on one handset, then dial handset number (2-6) to call. Call Block: Menu > SETTINGS > CALL BLOCK to block specific numbers. ECO Mode: Reduces power; enable in SETTINGS.
