Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on stable surface.

  1. Charge handset battery: Connect AC adapter to base, plug into outlet. Place handset on base for 7 hours initial charge.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug telephone line cord into base unit LINE jack and wall jack.
  3. Install battery: Insert battery pack into handset, align contacts, close cover.
  4. Set date/time: Handset will prompt for date/time setup after battery installation.

WARNING! Use only Panasonic-approved AC adapter and battery. Do not expose to water or extreme temperatures.

First-Time Setup

After installation, complete initial configuration.

  1. Register handset to base: Place handset on base, wait for registration tone (about 30 seconds).

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Record greeting: Press MENU > ANSWERING MACHINE > RECORD GREETING, speak after tone.
  2. Set number of rings: MENU > ANSWERING MACHINE > NUMBER OF RINGS (2-10).
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  5. Remote access: Dial your number from outside, when greeting plays, enter remote code (default: 0000).
  6. Save messages: Messages are saved until manually deleted.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while answering machine is recording or playing messages.
