Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a stable, central surface.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug the telephone line cord from the wall jack into the "LINE" jack on the base unit.
  2. Charge handset battery: Insert battery into handset, place handset on base charger for at least 7 hours.
  3. Connect power: Plug the AC adapter into the base unit and a 120V AC outlet.
  4. Install additional handsets: Register new handsets to the base following the manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not place near heat sources or water.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and follow prompts.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Turn on/off: Press /ANSWER ON/OFF on base.
  2. Record greeting: Press and hold /ANSWER ON/OFF until tone, speak greeting, press again.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or use remote access from outside line.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback or from menu.
  5. Remote access: Dial your number, after greeting press * and enter remote code (default 0000).
  6. Announce Only Mode: Plays greeting but does not record messages.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or the answering machine memory may be erased.
