Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery, place handset on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug the telephone line cord from the wall jack into the TEL LINE jack on the base.
  3. Connect power: Plug the AC adapter into the DC IN 9V jack on the base and into a 120V AC outlet.
  4. Install additional handsets: Register new handsets to the base unit following the manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure basic settings.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default is ENGLISH).
  3. Program phonebook: Add frequently dialed numbers via MENU > PHONEBOOK.
  4. Set answering machine: Record your outgoing greeting and set message alert mode.

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 cord to wall jack. Additional Handsets: Register via base unit. Headset: Compatible with 2.5mm headset (optional).

  1. Ensure base unit is powered off before connecting the telephone line.
  2. For additional handsets, place new handset in the base charger and press HANDSET LOCATOR on base for 5 seconds to enter registration mode.
  3. Select input source via handset MENU for external devices (if applicable).

Tip: Use a surge protector for the AC adapter and telephone line to prevent damage from power spikes.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering system with remote access.

  1. Record outgoing message: Press REC on base, speak after beep, press REC again to stop.
  2. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset.
  3. Delete messages: Press DELETE during or after playback.
  4. Remote playback: Dial your number from an outside phone, enter remote access code (default 0000) after your greeting.
  5. Set answering mode: On handset, MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > ANS MODE (ON, OFF, ANS/FAX).

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while the answering system is recording or playing to avoid data loss.

Advanced Features

Call Block: Add numbers via MENU > CALL BLOCK. Intercom: Press INTERCOM on one handset, then dial the handset number (2-6) to call. Eco Mode: Reduces power; enable in SETTINGS. Speakerphone: Press SPEAKERPHONE during a call. Phonebook Dialing: Store and dial from PHONEBOOK menu.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the AC adapter before cleaning. Wipe handset and base with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
