Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge Handset Battery: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect Telephone Line: Plug telephone line cord into TEL LINE jack on base and wall jack.
  3. Connect Power: Plug AC adapter into DC IN 9V jack on base and into electrical outlet.
  4. Install Additional Handsets: Place on charger, allow to register automatically.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure basic settings.

  1. Set Date and Time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set Language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default is ENGLISH).
  3. Register Handsets: New handsets will auto-register. For manual, press and hold PAGE on base until IN USE light flashes, then press # on handset within 60 seconds.
  4. Set Ringer Volume/Tone: Use handset MENU > RINGER SETTINGS.

CAUTION! Ensure the base unit is not placed near microwaves, routers, or other sources of interference.

  2. Plug telephone line cord firmly into base TEL LINE jack and wall outlet.
  3. For headset, plug into jack on side of handset during a call or before placing a call.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering machine with remote access capability.

  1. Record Outgoing Message: Press ANNOUNCEMENT on base, speak after beep, press again to stop.
  2. Play Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base, or press 1 on handset while in answering mode.
  3. Remote Playback: Call your number, after announcement enter remote code (default 1111).
  4. Delete Messages: Press DELETE on base during playback, or press 3 during remote playback.
  5. Set Rings to Answer: Press MENU on handset > ANSWERING MACHINE > NUMBER OF RINGS.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or you may lose recorded messages.
