Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a stable, central surface.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the LINE jack on the base unit and the other end into a working telephone wall jack.
  2. Connect power: Plug the AC power adapter into the DC IN 9V jack on the base and into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
  3. Charge the handset: Insert the battery into the handset, connect the handset to the base charger, and charge for at least 7 hours before first use.
  4. Install additional handsets: Register each extra handset to the base unit following the manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure basic settings.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on the handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME, and enter the current date and time.
  2. Set answering machine: Press MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM to set the number of rings before answering and record your outgoing announcement.

Using the Answering Machine
