Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug the telephone line cord from the wall jack into the TEL LINE jack on the base.
  2. Charge the handset: Place handset on the base unit charging cradle to charge for at least 7 hours before first use.
  3. Connect power: Plug the AC power adapter into the DC IN 9V jack on the base and into a standard 120V AC outlet.
  4. Install battery: Insert the provided rechargeable battery into the handset, aligning polarity.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic power adapter. Do not place near water or heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on the base; the handset will automatically begin registration.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set answering machine: Press ANS/PLAY on base to record your outgoing message (OGM).

  4. Skip messages: Press SKIP during playback.
  5. Remote access: Dial your number from an outside phone, press * during OGM, enter remote code (default 0000).
  6. Change settings: Set number of rings (2, 4, 6, TOL) via MENU > ANSWERING MACHINE.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or the answering machine memory may be erased.
