Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place base unit on a stable, flat surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of telephone line cord into TEL LINE jack on base, other end into wall jack.
  2. Connect power: Plug DC adapter into DC IN 9V jack on base, then into AC outlet. Plug handset charger into AC outlet.
  3. Charge handset: Place handset on base unit or charger; charge for at least 7 hours before first use.
  4. Install battery: Open battery compartment on handset, insert supplied battery, connect terminals, close cover.

WARNING! Use only supplied Panasonic adapters. Incorrect voltage can damage unit.

First-Time Setup

After charging, power on handset; follow prompts.

  1. Set time and date: Press MENU, select SETTINGS > TIME/DATE, enter current time and date.
  2. Register handset to base: Handset should auto-register. If not, press and hold PAGE on base until IN USE light flashes, then press # on handset.
  3. Set answering machine: Press ANS ON/OFF on base to turn on; record outgoing message by pressing MEMO/OGM.

  2. Connect telephone line cord securely to base and wall jack.
  3. For headset use, plug compatible 2.5mm headset into handset jack.

Tip: Use a surge protector for telephone line to protect against power surges.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering machine on base unit.

  1. Turn On/Off: Press ANS ON/OFF on base.
  2. Record Outgoing Message (OGM): Press and hold MEMO/OGM, speak after beep, release button.
  3. Play Messages: Press PLAY/SKIP on base or remotely from handset (press PLAY).
  4. Skip/Delete: During playback, press PLAY/SKIP to skip; DELETE to remove current message.
  5. Remote Access: Dial your number from outside, when OGM plays, enter remote code (default 1111).
  6. Change Remote Code: MENU > ANSWERING MACHINE > REMOTE CODE.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or messages may be lost. Record OGM clearly.

Advanced Features

Call Block: Add numbers via CALL BLOCK menu; blocks up to 250 numbers. Intercom: Press INTERCOM on one handset, then dial handset number (e.g., 2) to call another handset. Speed Dial: Store numbers under keys 2-9 (1 is reserved for voicemail).

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power before cleaning. Wipe base and handset with soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Keep handset and base dry. Avoid extreme temperatures.
