Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert batteries into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of telephone cord into TEL LINE jack on base, other end into wall jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into DC IN 9V jack on base, then into 120V AC outlet.
  4. Register additional handsets: Follow in-menu registration if using more than one handset.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and batteries. Incorrect parts may cause damage.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system; follow prompts on handset display.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE/TIME.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select ENGLISH (default).
  3. Program phonebook: Add entries via MENU > PHONEBOOK > ADD ENTRY.

  2. Use only the provided telephone line cord.
  3. For best performance, avoid placing base near microwaves, routers, or other cordless phones.

Tip: Test the connection by making a call after setup is complete.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital system with remote access.

  1. Record Outgoing Message (OGM): Press ANS/PLAY on base, follow voice prompts.
  2. Play Messages: Press ANS/PLAY on base or handset.
  3. Delete Messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  4. Remote Access: Call your number, after OGM plays, enter remote access code (default: 0000).
  5. Change Settings: Use MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM to set number of rings, OGM type.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power to base unit, as it will erase all stored messages.

Advanced Features

Call Block: Add numbers via MENU > CALL BLOCK. Intercom: Press INTERCOM on one handset, then dial handset number (e.g., 2). Speakerphone: Press SPEAKERPHONE during a call. Phonebook: Store, edit, or dial entries from memory.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug base from power before cleaning. Wipe handset and base with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
