Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a stable, central surface.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery, place handset on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect the base: Plug the AC adapter into the base and a wall outlet. Connect the telephone line cord from the base to your wall phone jack.
  3. Install additional handsets: Charge each handset on its charger unit, then register to the base (see manual).
  4. Set time and date: Use the handset menu to set the correct time for accurate caller ID.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure basic settings.

  1. Set Language: Press MENU, navigate to SETTINGS > LANGUAGE, select ENGLISH.
  2. Set Time & Date: Press MENU, navigate to SETTINGS > TIME & DATE. Enter current information.
  3. Program Phonebook: Press MENU, select PHONEBOOK > ADD ENTRY. Enter name and number.
  4. Configure Answering System: Press ANS/PLAY on base to record your outgoing greeting. Set number of rings before answer (MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM).

Controls and Settings

Access menus via the MENU button on the handset. Front Panel (Base): ANS/PLAY, DELETE, VOLUME, MEMO/STOP.

Handset: TALK/CALL BACK, OFF, FLASH, MENU, INTERCOM, DIR (Directory), VOLUME, MUTE, Number Keypad.

Settings Menu: Language, Time & Date, Ringer Tone/Volume, Phonebook, Answering System Setup, Intercom Settings, Eco Mode (On/Off), Registration of new handsets. Base Controls: Play/Stop messages, Delete messages, Record outgoing greeting, Adjust announcement volume.

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 cord from base to wall jack. Headset: 2.5mm plug to handset jack.

  1. Ensure power is off before connecting any cables.
  2. Connect the telephone line cord firmly to the LINE jack on the base and the wall jack.
  3. For a headset, plug into the jack on the side of the handset during a call or before placing a call.

Tip: Use a surge protector for the AC adapter to protect against power spikes.

Using the Answering Machine

Supports remote message retrieval and multiple mailboxes.

  1. Record Outgoing Greeting: Press and hold ANS/PLAY on base until tone, speak, press ANS/PLAY to stop.
  2. Play Messages: Press ANS/PLAY on base. Use VOLUME to adjust playback level.
  3. Delete Messages: Press DELETE during or after playback.
  4. Remote Access: Call your number from an outside phone. When announcement plays, enter your remote access code (default is 1111) followed by #.
  5. Record a Memo: Press MEMO/STOP on base, speak after the tone, press MEMO/STOP again to end.

WARNING! Do not place the base unit in a humid location. Keep liquids away.

Accessibility Features

Ringer Volume/ Tone Adjustment: Set different levels for phone and intercom calls. Large Backlit Keys: For easier dialing in low-light conditions. Hearing Aid Compatible (HAC): Rated M3/T3.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the AC adapter before cleaning. Wipe the handset and base with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
