Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge Handset Battery: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect Telephone Line: Plug one end of telephone line cord into TEL LINE jack on base, other end into wall jack.
  3. Connect Power: Plug AC adapter into DC IN 9V jack on base and into 120V AC outlet.
  4. Install Additional Handsets: Register each additional handset to the base unit following the manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only the supplied Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the base and handset.

  1. Set Date and Time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 cord to wall jack. Additional Handsets: Register to base. Headset: Optional 2.5mm headset jack on handset.

  1. Ensure power is off before connecting.
  2. Use only approved Panasonic accessories.
  3. For headset use, plug into handset jack before turning on.

Tip: Use a surge protector for the AC adapter to protect against power spikes.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital system with remote access.

  1. Record Outgoing Message (OGM): Press and hold RECORD on base, speak after beep, release RECORD.
  2. Play Messages: Press ANS/PLAY on base or handset.
  3. Delete Messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  4. Skip Messages: Press SKIP during playback.
  5. Remote Playback: Call your number, press * during OGM, enter remote code (default 0000).
  6. Change Number of Rings: MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > NUMBER OF RINGS.
  7. Turn On/Off: MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > ON/OFF.

WARNING! Do not use answering machine during electrical storms. Unplug from power and phone line.
