Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a stable, central surface.

  1. Charge Handset Battery: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours.
  2. Connect Telephone Line: Plug one end of phone cord into TEL LINE jack on base, other end into wall jack.
  3. Connect Power: Plug AC adapter into DC IN 9V jack on base and into electrical outlet.
  4. Install Additional Handsets: Register new handsets to the base unit following manual instructions.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system; follow prompts on handset display.

Connecting Devices

  3. If using with a DSL filter, connect filter to wall jack first.
  4. Power on base unit.

Tip: For best performance, avoid placing base unit near microwaves, routers, or other electronics.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering machine with remote access.

  1. Turn On/Off: Press /ANSWER ON/OFF on base.
  2. Record Greeting: Press /ANSWER ON/OFF, then REC. Speak clearly, press STOP.
  3. Play Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base. Use VOLUME to adjust.
  4. Delete Messages: Press DELETE during or after playback.
  5. Remote Access: Call your number, after greeting, enter remote access code (default is 1111) to listen to messages.
  6. Set Number of Rings: Use MENU > ANSWERING MACHINE > NUMBER OF RINGS.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while answering machine is recording or playing.
