Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge handset battery: Connect AC adapter to base and power outlet. Place handset on base to charge for at least 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the base, and the other end into a working telephone wall jack.
  3. Install battery in handset: Open battery compartment, insert battery, connect terminals, close cover.
  4. Register additional handsets: Follow manual instructions to sync extra handsets to the base.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not expose to water or extreme temperatures.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure initial settings.

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Turn on/off: Press ANS ON/OFF on base.
  2. Record greeting: Press MENU > ANSWERING SYSTEM > GREETING, follow prompts.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/SKIP on base, or dial in remotely from another phone.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback, or delete all via menu.
  5. Remote access: Call your number, enter remote access code (default is 1111) after greeting.
  6. Set recording time: Menu > ANSWERING SYSTEM > RECORD TIME (1 min or 2 min per message).

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while answering system is in use to avoid message loss.
