Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge handset: Insert battery, place on base for 7 hours initial charge.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug line cord from wall jack to TEL LINE jack on base.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base and wall outlet.

First-Time Setup

Connecting Devices

  2. On new handset, press and hold # until IN USE flashes.
  3. On base, press and hold HANDSET LOCATOR for 5 seconds.
  4. Wait for confirmation tone.

Tip: For best performance, place base unit centrally, away from metal objects.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital system with remote access.

  1. Turn on: Press ANS ON/OFF on base.
  2. Record greeting: Press REC on base, speak, press REC again.
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  5. Remote access: Dial your number, after greeting press * and enter remote code (default 0000).
  6. Set rings: Menu > ANS MACHINE > RINGS (2, 4, 6, TOLL SAVER).

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while playing/recording messages.

Advanced Features

Call Block: Add numbers via MENU > CALL BLOCK. Intercom: Press INTERCOM, select handset number. Phonebook: Store 100 entries with name/number. ECO Mode: Reduces power when handset near base.

Care & Cleaning
