Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place base station on a stable, central surface.

  1. Charge the Handset: Insert battery into handset, place on base station cradle for 10 hours initial charge.
  2. Connect Telephone Line: Plug one end of telephone line cord into TEL LINE jack on base, other end into wall telephone jack.

First-Time Setup

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Set Greeting: Press MENU, select ANS. SYS, then RECORD GREETING. Record your message after the tone.
  2. Play Messages: Press PLAY/STOP button on base or handset to listen to new messages.
  3. Delete Messages: Press DELETE during or after playback.
  4. Remote Playback: Call your number from an outside phone, enter your remote access code (default: 0000) when greeting plays.
  5. Adjust Settings: Set number of rings before answer, turn system on/off via menu.

WARNING! Do not expose the answering system to magnetic fields, which may erase messages.
