Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Choose location for base station.

  1. Connect telephone line: Plug telephone line cord into base station LINE jack and wall jack.
  2. Charge handset: Insert battery into handset, place on base station for initial 16-hour charge.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base station and wall outlet.
  4. Install wall mount (optional): Attach bracket to wall, mount base station.

WARNING! Use only provided Panasonic AC adapter. Do not place near water or heat sources.

First-Time Setup

After installation, complete initial configuration.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU, navigate to SETTINGS, set current date/time.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select ENGLISH (default).
  3. Register handsets: For multi-handset systems, follow registration procedure in manual.
  4. Set answering machine: Record outgoing message and set number of rings.
  5. Program phonebook: Add frequently dialed numbers.

Menu Settings: Date/Time, Language, Ringer Volume/Tone, Handset Name, Phonebook, Answering System Settings, Call Block, Eco Mode. Advanced: Call Waiting ID, Distinctive Ring, Auto Talk.

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 connector. Headset: 2.5mm jack on handset side.

  1. Ensure phone is unplugged from power before connecting devices.
  2. Connect answering machine to phone line if using separate unit.
  3. For headset use: Plug compatible headset into handset jack.
  4. For multiple handsets: Register each handset following manual instructions.

Tip: Keep base station away from electronic interference sources like microwaves or routers.

Using Advanced Features

Supports multiple advanced calling features.

  1. Answering System: Press PLAY/STOP to listen to messages; REC to record outgoing message.
  2. Intercom: Press INT on one handset, then dial handset number (1,2,3) for internal call.
  3. Three-Way Conferencing: During a call, press FLASH, dial third party, press TALK to connect all.
  4. Call Block: Add numbers to block list in menu; blocked calls go directly to answering machine.
  5. Redial: Press REDIAL to call last dialed number.
  6. Mute: Press MUTE during call to temporarily disable microphone.
  7. Hold: Press FLASH then 1 to place call on hold.
  8. Transfer Calls: During external call, press INT then handset number to transfer.

WARNING! Do not disassemble handset or base station. No user-serviceable parts inside.

Accessibility Features

Ringer Volume Adjustment: 5 levels plus OFF. Keypad Tone: Can be turned on/off. Large Display: High-contrast LCD for easy reading. Speed Dial: Program emergency numbers for quick access.
