Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge handset batteries: Insert batteries into handset, place on base or charger for 7 hours.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug telephone line cord into base unit LINE jack and wall jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into base unit and electrical outlet.
  4. Install additional handsets: Register each handset to the base following manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only supplied Panasonic adapters and batteries. Do not disassemble or short-circuit batteries.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on base and handset; follow prompts.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, select SETTINGS > DATE/TIME.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default ENGLISH).
  3. Register handsets: On base, press and hold PAGE until IN USE light flashes, then on handset press and hold # until confirmed.
  4. Set answering machine: Record outgoing message; set number of rings (2, 4, 6, TOL).

CAUTION! Keep base unit and handsets away from water, heat sources, and direct sunlight.

Connecting Devices

Telephone line: Base LINE jack to wall jack. Additional handsets: Register to base. Headset: Optional headset jack on handset.

  1. Ensure base and handset are powered off during connections.
  2. Use only standard RJ11 telephone cables.
  3. For headset, plug into handset jack when handset is off.

Tip: Avoid placing base near microwave ovens, routers, or other cordless phones to prevent interference.

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Record outgoing message: Press RECORD on base, speak after beep, press RECORD again to stop.
  2. Set ring count: Press ANSWER ON/OFF to select 2, 4, 6 rings or TOL (toll saver).
  3. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or handset (press INTERCOM then 1).
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback or from handset menu.
  5. Remote retrieval: Call your number, after outgoing message press remote code (default 5) followed by #.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or telephone line during recording; may cause memory loss.

Advanced Features

Call Block: Add numbers via CALL BLOCK menu; blocks up to 250 numbers. Intercom: Press INTERCOM on one handset, then dial handset number (1-6) to call. Conference: Merge outside call with intercom call. Speed Dial: Store up to 9 numbers per handset.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power before cleaning. Wipe base and handset with soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.
