Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert batteries into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of phone cord into TEL LINE jack on base, other end into wall jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into DC IN 9V jack on base, then into electrical outlet.
  4. Add extra handsets: Register additional handsets to the base unit following the manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic AC adapter and batteries. Do not disassemble or short-circuit batteries.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure basic settings.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default is ENGLISH).
  3. Set answering machine: Press ANS/PLAY on base to turn on; record your greeting.
  4. Register handsets: Follow registration procedure in manual to link handsets to base.

CAUTION! Keep base unit and charger away from heat sources and water.

Settings: Date/Time, Language, Ringer tone/volume, Answering machine settings (greeting, number of rings), Call block list, ECO mode on/off. Phonebook: Store up to 50 entries per handset. Call Log: Missed, received, dialed calls (up to 30 each).

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 cord. Headset: 2.5mm jack on handset.

  1. Ensure power is off before connecting.
  2. Plug telephone line cord firmly into base and wall jack.
  3. For headset, plug into jack on side of handset.

Tip: Use a surge protector for telephone line to protect against power surges.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering machine with remote access capability.

  1. Turn on/off: Press ANS/PLAY on base to toggle.
  2. Record greeting: Press and hold RECORD on base, speak after beep, release when done.
  3. Play messages: Press ANS/PLAY on base or handset.
  4. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback.
  5. Remote access: Call your number, after greeting, enter remote access code (default 0000) to listen to messages.
  6. Set number of rings: Menu > ANSWERING > NUMBER OF RINGS (2, 3, 4, Toll Saver).

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while answering machine is recording or playing.

Advanced Features

Call Block: Add numbers via MENU > CALL BLOCK. Intercom: Press INTERCOM on one handset, then dial handset number (1-6) to call. Phonebook: Store names/numbers. ECO Mode: Reduces power when handset is near base.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug from power before cleaning. Wipe with soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.

CAUTION! Avoid water and extreme temperatures. Clean handset and base gently.
