Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge Handset Battery: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect Telephone Line: Plug telephone line cord from wall jack to "LINE" jack on base unit.
  3. Connect Power: Plug AC adapter into base unit and wall outlet.
  4. Install Additional Handsets: Register new KX-TGEA series handsets following manual instructions.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on base and handset; follow prompts.

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Record Outgoing Message (OGM): Press MEMO/RECORD on base, speak after beep, press MEMO/RECORD to stop.
  2. Play Messages: Press ANS/PLAY on base or remotely dial your number, press # during OGM.
  3. Delete Messages: Press SKIP/DELETE during playback.
  4. Adjust Volume: Use VOLUME buttons on base during playback.
  5. Remote Access: Call your number, enter remote code (default 1111) after OGM.
