Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Network cable tester
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Punch down tool
  • RJ45 crimping tool
  • Voltage tester

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a well-ventilated location with access to power and network connections.
  2. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are present and undamaged.
  3. Mount the PBX: Securely mount the KX-NS PBX unit on a wall or rack using provided mounting brackets.
  4. Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the PBX and plug into a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Network Connection: Connect the PBX to your network switch using Cat5e or higher Ethernet cable.
  6. Phone Connections: Connect digital and IP phones to appropriate ports or network drops.
  7. Initial Configuration: Access the web configuration interface to set up system parameters and extensions.
