Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Choose a central, well-ventilated location for the base station.

  1. Charge the Handset: Insert the rechargeable battery into the handset and place it on the base station to charge for at least 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect the Base: Plug the telephone line cord from the wall jack into the "LINE" jack on the back of the base.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the AC power adapter into the base and then into a standard 120V AC outlet.
  4. Install Additional Handsets: For extra handsets, charge them on their own charger or on the main base if compatible.

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic power adapter. Do not place the base near other electronic devices that may cause interference.

First-Time Setup

After installation, the system will initialize. Follow on-screen prompts on the handset.

  1. Set Date and Time: Use the handset MENU to navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set Language: In the SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default is ENGLISH).
  3. Register Handsets: If using additional handsets, place them on the base and press and hold the PAGE button on the base until the handset beeps and shows "Registered".
  4. Set Up Answering Machine: Press the "ANSWER ON/OFF" button on the base to turn on. Record your outgoing announcement by pressing "ANNOUNCE".

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Standard RJ11 wall jack to base "LINE" port. Additional Handsets: Register via base station.

  1. Ensure base power is off before connecting the telephone line.
  2. Use only the provided telephone cord for the initial connection.
  3. For best performance, do not connect a surge protector between the base and the wall jack.

Tip: If you have DSL internet, you may need to use a DSL filter on the phone line.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital answering machine with remote access.

  1. Turn On/Off: Press ANSWER ON/OFF on base. Light on when on.
  2. Record Announcement: Press and hold ANNOUNCE, speak after beep, release button.
  3. Play Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base. Use VOLUME to adjust playback level.
  4. Delete Messages: Press DELETE/SKIP during playback.
  5. Remote Access: Call your number, after announcement, enter your remote code (default 0000) to play messages.
  6. Set Rings: Menu > ANSWERING MACHINE > NUMBER OF RINGS (2, 3, 4, 5, Toll Saver).

WARNING! If power fails, all messages and settings may be lost.

Advanced Features

Call Block: Add numbers via MENU > CALL BLOCK. Intercom: Press INTERCOM on one handset, then the number of the target handset (1-6). Speakerphone: Press SPEAKERPHONE during a call or before dialing. Eco Mode: Enabled by default; reduces power when handset is near base.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the base from power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the handset and base. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
