Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place base unit on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of the phone cord into the TEL LINE jack on the base, other end into wall jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into the DC IN 9V jack on base, then into a 120V AC outlet.
  4. Add additional handsets: Register new handsets to the base following the manual instructions.

WARNING! Use only the supplied Panasonic AC adapter and battery. Do not expose to water or extreme temperatures.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system; follow prompts on handset display.

  1. Set date and time: Use MENU > Settings > Date & Time.
  2. Set language: In MENU > Settings > Language, select ENGLISH (default).
  3. Program phonebook: Add entries via MENU > Phonebook > New Entry.
  4. Set answering machine: Record outgoing message and set message playback options.

CAUTION! Ensure the base unit is placed away from other electronic devices to avoid interference.

Connecting Devices

Telephone Line: Use supplied cord to connect base to wall jack. Headset: Plug 2.5mm headset into handset jack.

  1. Ensure phone is unplugged from power before connecting line cord.
  2. For headset use, plug in before making a call.
  3. To connect a fax machine or modem, use a splitter on the wall jack.

Tip: Avoid running the telephone cord parallel to power cords to reduce noise.

Using the Answering Machine

  1. Record Outgoing Message (OGM): Press RECORD on base, speak after beep, press RECORD again to stop.
  2. Play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on base or use handset MENU > Answering Machine > Play Messages.
  3. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback or use handset menu.
  4. Remote access: Call your number, enter remote access code (default 0000) after OGM to play messages.
  5. Turn answering machine on/off: Slide ANSWER ON/OFF switch on base.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power while recording or playing messages to avoid data loss.

Accessibility Features

Ringer Volume Adjustment: Set high volume for hearing impaired. Large Backlit Buttons: Easier to see and press. Talking Keypad: Optional setting announces numbers pressed (if supported).

Care & Cleaning
