Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place base unit on a flat, stable surface away from electronic interference.

  1. Charge the handset: Insert battery into handset, place on base charger for 7 hours before first use.
  2. Connect telephone line: Plug one end of phone cord into TEL LINE jack on base, other end into wall jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into DC IN 9V jack on base and into a 120V AC outlet.
  4. Install additional handsets: Charge each handset on its charger, then register to base (see manual).

WARNING! Use only the provided Panasonic adapter and battery. Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the system and configure basic settings.

  1. Set date and time: Press MENU on handset, navigate to SETTINGS > DATE & TIME.
  2. Set language: In SETTINGS menu, select LANGUAGE (default is ENGLISH).
  3. Set answering machine: Press ANS/PLAY on base to record your outgoing message (OGM).
  4. Register handsets: For additional handsets, press HANDSET LOCATOR on base, then follow prompts.

CAUTION! Keep base unit and charger away from heat sources and water.

Connecting Devices

Telephone line: Standard RJ11 cord. Headset: 2.5mm jack on handset. Additional handsets: Register via base.

  1. Ensure base is powered and phone line connected.
  2. For headset, plug into jack on side of handset.
  3. To connect to VoIP adapter, plug phone cord from base into adapter's phone port.

Tip: For best performance, place base unit away from microwaves, routers, and other electronics.

Using the Answering Machine

Digital system with remote access capability.

  1. Record outgoing message: Press ANS/PLAY on base, follow voice prompts.
  2. Play messages: Press ANS/PLAY on base or remotely dial your number and enter access code.
  3. Delete messages: Press DELETE during playback or from menu.
  4. Adjust settings: Set number of rings (2, 4, 6, TAD only) via base or handset menu.
  5. Remote operation: Call your number, after OGM enter remote access code (default 0000).

WARNING! Do not disconnect power or you may lose messages. Record OGM clearly.

Advanced Features

Call Block: Add numbers via CALL BLOCK menu; blocked calls go directly to answering machine. Intercom: Press INTERCOM on one handset, then dial handset number (1-6) to call. Eco Mode: Reduces power when handset is in charger; enable in SETTINGS.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power before cleaning. Wipe handset and base with soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Avoid getting moisture in openings. Keep battery contacts clean.
